Als umfangreichste ritterliche Standeslehre des Mittelalters, die eine Vielzahl von Quellen rezipiert und verarbeitet, bietet der "Ritterspiegel" ein Paradebeispiel der Verbindung von Dichtung und Didaxe. Ausgehend davon werden grundlegende Aspekte lehrhaften Sprechens in zentralen Texten des 12. bis 15. Jahrhunderts beleuchtet.
