Baisch bestimmt die Genese, den Status und die Funktion von Textvarianten in der mittelalterlichen volkssprachlichen �berlieferung mittels einer Analyse historischer Gebrauchszusammenh�nge neu und f�hrt Edition und Interpretation methodisch zusammen. Er versteht Textkritik als Funktionsgeschichte der �berlieferung mittelalterlicher Texte.
