Hitler hante notre actualit�, et du pass� d�sormais personne d'autre, ou presque, ne surnage. Aujourd'hui le malfaiteur supr�me est en passe de si�ger seul sur le tr�ne de la m�moire. Dans cette soci�t� de l'accusation perp�tuelle et de l'expiation tapageuse qui arraisonne � tour de bras les fameuses heures les plus sombres de notre histoire, je me prends parfois � r�ver d'une m�moire sans oriflamme ni destrier, d'une m�moire p�destre, modeste, discr�te, silencieuse ou qui ne fasse pas d'autre bruit que les pages que l'on tourne dans le colloque singulier de la lecture. Comment parler de la Shoah sans tout m�langer ni sacrifier les exigences du jour ? Quelles le�ons tirer de cet �v�nement proprement incroyable ? Comment penser le mal, la radicalit� du mal, la banalit� du mal, l'industrialisation du mal, sans abandonner au mal tout l'espace de l'immortalit� ?
