I already have some Vorkosigan books on CD and listened to library copies, so I knew I'd be fine with narrator Grover Gardner's voice. Lord Miles Vorkosigan appears in "The Flowers of Vashnoi," but the star is his wife, Ekaterin, ably supported by Dr. Butterbug himself, Enrique Borgos. This is set when Aral Alexander & Helen Natalia are quite young. You should love the scene where Miles and 3 cats help the twins with breakfast. If you've wondered about Enrique and Martya Koudelka's relationship, wonder no more.
The plot concerns an attempt to reclaim radioactive Vashnoi, using specially bred bugs. The bugs start going missing despite precautions. What Ekaterina and Enrique find was unexpected. What can be done about it?
