The Kentucky 19th Infantry Regiment was recruited and organized at Harrodsburg, Ky., in the fall of 1861, by Col. Landram and Lieut. Col. Cowan, and was mustered into the U. S. service Jan. 2, 1862. After the Red River Expedition it returned to Baton Rouge, La., where it remained until ordered to Louisville, Ky., where it was mustered out, Jan. 26, 1865, the veterans and recruits being transferred to the 7th Ky.
