Are you afflicted, lame, or an outcast? God is telling us He is in control of those He has afflicted. Doesn't it sound wrong to say "He has afflicted?" We must rely on the fact that He is the potter and we are the clay and the Potter knows what He is doing. Our afflictions are but for the moment, if you place the span of our human lives in the perspective of eternity. Some have been afflicted from birth, others only recently, but in every case these verses are true.
