Third in the Mistmantle series. If you like Brian Jacques' Redwall series, these books are similar. Great writing!

Wonderful & Thought-Provoking
This is the third book of the "Mistmantle" series by M. McAllister; and I've gotten more impressed with each one! The characters are captivating, the storyline is compelling (and involves some deep issues, including betrayal, redemption, prejudice, and moral struggles of many kinds), and the setting is fantastic (in both senses of the word)!
One caution: some of the scenes may be troubling/disturbing to younger readers, and some of the themes (though they're portrayed with good moral clarity) are rather dark; parents might want to read it first.
