Unfortunately, Ms Sachitano was given some poor advice about how to write a mystery for quilters which makes this book tiresome to read even though the story isn't bad. The audience for this book is clearly quilters as few others would be attracted by the title. Given that, the explanation for every little quilting term was quite annoying and distracting from the plot. Even if I weren't a quilter, I wouldn't want minute definitions interrupting the flow of what was a decent story. That said, would I buy another by this author? Yes. Maybe in the second book Sachitano follows her own ideas and just tells her story.
