This is the saga of those intrepid souls who were persecuted by civil authorities and denounced, defamed and decimated by the professing church. Who are the Waldensians? The Lollards? The Stundists? The Anabaptists? These were names given by to those who claimed only the name of Christ, and who were prepared to suffer for His cause rather than submit to those man-made traditions that they believed contradicted the Word of God.

I've studied the Bible and church history for 25 years now, yet this book has opened my eyes to parts of church history that I was unaware of before. Not all of what we so broadly label "protestant" church are, in fact, protestant. There have been Bible (Sola Scriptura) churches down through the ages since Apostolic times. Sometimes maligned and even persecuted by institutionalized "religions", they have remained true to the Word of God as their sole authority. Any reader stands to gain much from this book.

Excellent History of The Church
This book seems to present a credible story of the authentic New Testiment church over time. It is a gift from God of something I was searching for on history of the Church. It is still a blessing to me.
