Seller's Description:
Good. 1876175192. [14], 231 pages. Footnotes. Glossary. Index. "The CIA is not now nor has it ever been a central intelligence agency. It is the covert action arm of the president's foreign policy advisers. In that capacity it overthrows or supports foreign governments while reporting 'intelligence' justifying those activities. It shapes its intelligence to support presidential policy. Disinformation is a large part of its covert action responsibility, and the American people are the primary target of its lies."-Ralph McGehee. "McGehee spent 25 years in the CIA from 1952-77. He entered a super-patriot at the height of the Cold War; he left disillusioned and shattered by what he had seen and learned, especially in Vietnam where he saw a tragic and senseless war develop."-back cover. Though the era written about is long behind us now, this work definitely points to the systemic failings of the US' intelligence service, both why, and more importantly how those failings continue to be consciously used to foment a world disorder, meant to be used for the benefit of the international war industry, and the financial elite who expect to, and do benefit from it directly.
