I bought this book for a class in college and the cheaper older edition still covers all of the basics but does leave out some stuff that the newer ones have like climbing frozen waterfalls and other similar topics. All in all what it teaches is still technically sound and helpful. I plan on using the knowledge in a week while seconding at Seneca
