This book is of seminal interest to lovers and students of icons. Large format, beautiful wood paper pages (and therefore a heavy book) with laid in plates.
A superb text accompanies the illustrations.
I cannot recommend the book more highly...it is rare that one comes across something of this quality and scholarship these days.
