Is that path climbing up through the field to the church a death road? Very likely. The book reveals how particular paths were trodden by funeral processions bearing the coffin to the cemetery, and became used by the dead, flitting between cemeteries, and by spirits as paths. It's a riveting read that propels you from start to finish - better than a novel, and guaranteed to keep you awake at night!
