This book is about the dangers of pedophiles preying on our children whether our homes are in the country, small towns or cities. Bad people are everywhere and are constantly on the alert for an unattended child. We must take more care to teach our children what not to accept from strangers, whether that is candy, ice cream, hunt for lost pets, or any other reason they could be lured into the hands of someone looking to get their kicks by attacking these vulnerable children. Our children must understand they should NEVER talk to or ACCEPT a ride in a stranger's vehicle. By accepting a ride, or believing they will be rewarded for a good work on their part, they can immediately be taken from their hometown in mere minutes and be the object of a gruesome murder as depicted in this book. The writer of this book spent 21 years managing the local newspaper, editing, and lots of writing of crimes and interviewing during those years. She was blessed by having an excellent rapport with the state, local and county police departments as she wrote about crime in her hometown. Many of these kind officers invited her to attend at all kinds of crime scenes, from murder, arson, drug raids, and many other acts of criminal activity. Every Friday afternoon she met with several members of the protectors of our society to have on hand, sometimes as long as six months, the activities they were working on so she would have first bids on the outcome. She met and vetted what they told her by interviewing the county prosecutors and judges. This book attempts to show the horrible outcomes for several children and an adult who did not adhere to the above advice. Just when you think you have solved the puzzles she puts in your way, there is an interesting twist and the true murderer is revealed. Read carefully and see if you can determine who the real killer might be.
