Looking for a soft watercolor view of the people and events in the Bible? Better just move on now. Looking for the vivid colors of a realistic, sometimes gritty, story of faith overcoming unimaginable circumstances? By The Waters Of Babylon will be right up your alley.
Mesu Andrews's trademark exquisite attention to historical detail and uncompromising belief in the truth of Scripture bring to life some of the most memorable characters in a way that makes the reader feel as if they, too, are standing there in the ancient Holy Land.
For me By The Waters Of Babylon was a fairly quick read and so very hard to put down. It was also one of those stories that left me thinking about the characters even as I went about other tasks. There was something about Merari's determination to believe in Yahweh despite everything happening to her and around her that I found to be intriguing, convicting, and most definitely inspiring.
Don't miss Mesu Andrews's breathtaking journey through darkness and into hope on the long road road from Jerusalem to Babylon...
