While her mother drags Jeb into a world of shifting realities and vivid hallucinations, she also protects her with poetry and word games. But with the help of her brother and a few unlikely friends, Jeb manages to build a life like the survivors of a nearby tornado, from pieces of rubble, broken and random, but uniquely hers.
