El prefijo Trans viene del lat�n y significa a trav�s, m�s all�, y fon�as nos conecta con el griego phon� que significa sonido, voz, capacidad de habla. De tal manera, que nos adentramos en una zona donde el poeta atravesar� con agudeza la palabra, ir� m�s all� de la voz. Y eso precisamente es lo que se siente al leer estos textos.En una definici�n del propio am nos se�ala que: "Una Transfon�a es el trayecto radical que trasciende -consciente y desconsideradamente- la forma tradicional sentenciada por la �lite literaria." Pretender esta suerte de transgresi�n iconoclasta en el lenguaje nos ubica como espectador en una zona clandestina, oblicua, donde la palabra po�tica es inducida al quiebre: el poeta la manosea, la estrangula, la acaricia, la apu�ala, la exprime, la macera intentando sacarle el zumo de ese m�s all�, hurgando en significados, sabores y colores ocultos, para alcanzar regiones de asombro y silencio -silencio como entrada interdimensional, nos puntualiza en otro de sus poemas.El t�rmino interdimensional nos deja una pista sobre el desarrollo de los textos: desde su estructura arquitect�nica y la ubicaci�n en la p�gina hasta el contenido simb�lico, nos abre paso a diversas dimensiones del significado y de la vivencia emocional.En cierto sentido, el poemario se configura como un espacio de juego, advertimos en el poeta una intenci�n l�dica, pero con la absoluta convicci�n del ni�o que juega; en otro sentido, nos conduce a observarlo en un serio desacato, una rebeld�a ante la formalidad de los discursos, ya sean estos amorosos, pol�ticos o religiosos. Siempre conserva la permanente sospecha ante las palabras, ellas tienen que ser atravesadas, desvestidas de artificio, vueltas al rev�s para dejar al descubierto las costuras, las v�sceras, el mundo �ntimo, real, la m�dula. El poeta busca lo que pasa por la mente de la palabra o los versos detr�s de los versos /volteando los p�rpados del poema.Sin duda, arturo manchego se nos muestra como un poeta dif�cil de clasificar; tal vez hereda dentro de la l�rica venezolana a grandes autores del siglo XX como Jos� Lira Sosa o Rafael Jos� Mu�oz, comparte con ellos la hechura surrealista y la vocaci�n transgresora radical de ambos.Tambi�n nos recuerda a los poetas anglosajones de la generaci�n beat en cuanto a esa b�squeda de lo esencial a trav�s de la experimentaci�n, rompiendo estructuras, burlando lo convencional y elitista en el acontecimiento po�tico. Sin embargo, am no parece detenerse en un territorio espec�fico, alcanza por un lado altas notas l�ricas para luego pasar, casi de inmediato, a lo grotesco, lo vulgar, "las coprofon�as", hasta llegar a la deconstrucci�n del lenguaje y la alteraci�n del idioma propio de la subcultura caraque�a.Percibimos adem�s reiteradas obsesiones: diosas musas- "ginecolatr�as" para desembocar en lo sublime.Igualmente, el poeta aborda de manera irreverente el fen�meno religioso institucional, al mismo tiempo que nos transmite la figura de Jes�s desde la originalidad de la inocencia.Nada se escapa a la capacidad fulminante de la poes�a de AM. "Niega tambi�n la rigurosidad patibular contra s� misma -no se juzga ni se condena-, es un acto de fe que incluye las formaciones que pudieran provenir del inconsciente (Dios incluido)."- afirma el poeta de sus Transfon�as. NI siquiera la madre como figura ic�nica, intocable, est� a salvo de este asalto feroz de la palabra.
