I ordered this book to give to a friend who was going through a difficult time. Unfortunately I didn't find it to be comforting or encouraging, or something to pick up one's spirits. I did not read page by page which is what it is set up for, but I don't think that would matter. There are a great many entries. Some meaningful to me, but fewer carefully picked would be better. I read many good reviews before I bought it, so I would say you should see it before buying it.
