I enjoy Camilla's books. (Also "The Preacher"). I sent this to my sister...I'm hoping she will like it as much as I do. I just re-read The Murder Stone by Louise Penny. (What a goooood story). This story would be perfect as a Columbo episode, but Peter Falk is no longer with us...

Another Swedish mystery
An interesting, well honed novel. The translator is English and as such many expressions differ from that found in American usage for readers on the western side of the Atlantic. Nonetheless, at times it seems strictly verbatim, rather using more appropriate culture-related phraseology or slang. Pity. A sentence or phrase may come across stilted, obviously not the author's style.

Nuanced
The book moves at a sedate pace with much detail about the inner lives of the characters and a complex plot, An excellent and pleasant read.
