There are actual breaks in the narrative between the first three parts, but Part Three's narrative continues into Part Four without an authorial break (only an editorial one).

A very good read!
Autobiography's are not my favorites, this one is an exception. It is little wonder that his lifes story is credited to have encouraged european's to want to immigrate to the United States.
