Don't begin this book unless you have a few hours to read and finish it uninterrupted. Who would have thought when Christine Feehan began the Ghostwalkers Series (love that name) that two characters not even in the first book would become a pair of the most riveting. Jack (Conspiracy Game) and Ken (Deadly Game) Norton are two dangerous men. Their lives could read like horror stories if not for their courage, tenacity and their love for each other. Enter the women who will love them. Deadly Game is the story of Ken and Marigold. These are two people with serious emotional baggage and you almost wonder if in fact they can make a relationship work. But the courage, tenacity and love Ken has for his twin brother, Jack are equally apparent in Marigold and she is his perfect match (manipulated? - you'll have to read the book and form your own opinion). Ken and Marigold really had me rooting for them. They were so badly scarred emotionally that I wanted them to find happiness with each other. In Deadly Game, we find out more about the evil genius behind the Ghost Walker experiments and make some crucial discoveries about his plans. We also find out a little more about what some of the Ghost Walkers can do with their abilities. This is an awesome book (along with Conspiracy Game). It begins with a bang and keeps you on the edge of your seat with suspense. Everyone has an agenda or a scheme. No one can be trusted. Nothing is what is seems to be. There are two things about this book which I really like and which make it very interesting. The first is that even though both members of both couples are twins, they are four very different people. Marigold and Briony (Conspiracy Game) are different because they were raised very differently but there are hints that even as babies they had divergent personalities. Ken and Jack, even though they have always been together are also very different, although not it is not necessarily obvious at the beginning. This makes these two books magnificent together but wonderful seperately also. The other thing I like is the discovery of a team of female Ghost Walkers. These women are soldiers and expect to be treated as such. I love this.
Christine continues to explore the boundaries of male/female relationships and the ways in which our past shapes our present and future. This book is a perfect example ot that.
I would definitely recommend this book and it's predecessor to anyone interested in paranormal romance. Christine Feehan triumphs once again.

Another Hit
I enjoyed her new book in the series. It is very vivid and sexy. It has wonderful suspense, a believable plot, and continues to amaze. Christine Feehan is one of the best paranormal romance authors around. I did not put this book down; from cover to cover, a great read. I can't wait for more!
