I have found J L Langley writing to engage my interest because she developes characters that you really like and want to know more about, especially long before the erotica gets interjected. You feel like 'let's get to it' now.
It is nice that her stories introduce new characters that will be written about in her next novel in a series. You do not need to read them in order, but it helps.
