Each disorder is introduced in a case-based format and includes a diagnostic profile along with treatment considerations and a functional analysis of the case. Instructors will appreciate the critical thinking/learning activities that are provided for each case. To facilitate learning, the authors introduce a new model, The Acquired Language Disorders (ALD) Target Model, which graphically depicts characteristics and severity of the communication impairment and cognitive involvement for each case.
