Slade
These nighttime romance stories are brief. Don't expect full blown plot lines and back stories to support a suspense novel. These stories are meant to be a bringing together of two people in a love story. There are short back stories and brief touchings on twists to enhance the story. However, this is not a suspense novel that will have you wondering where the story is leading and who the villian is. These are clear cut stories that start with small snippets of love lives, love lost and the story of coming home. The twists in the plot are for a side character but affect all within the book. Romance readers will love a story like this that can be read in one sitting. Suspense readers of novels accustomed to Jackson's many other full blown suspense novels may not appreciate this book. However, this is a great "light" read if one is only looking for a good Jackson novel filled with romance and none of the "heady" stuff needed to follow a strong and twisting plot line. The reader will want to read the whole series to determine the "whole" of this family's story.
