This book is at the top of my adults plus children list. It is imaginative, soothing, and thought-provoking, and it inspires plenty of out-loud laughs. It is a story of a Giant and his one-way love affair with the Moon. Mr. Gerstein portrays the passage of eons with fine text and superbly crafted, colorful drawings. As the plot thickens, Carolinda appears with her giant vocal chords. In spite of the fears of the whole town, she manages to be herself while saving the day and helping the sad giant to fulfillment.
