I listened to Ellen's narration of the abridged version. She overcame a tough childhood, and messed-up marriage, to become the celebrity she is today. Some might be turned off by the new-age aspect of her approach to life, but I found that the best part.

Too much Hollywood
I saw this woman being interviewed on Oprah and she was so sincere about changing her life and learning about herself and her experiences. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it through the book entirely as it was mostly an account of her Hollywood days and who she ran with. There was little life lesson offered. Gave it a fair shot and read 50% of the book but I just couldn't read anymore Hollywood. Summary describes pivitol changes and fantastic hindsight and learned love of a woman. The book promotes sympathy more than growth of an individual.
