Hurricane Katrina, looters, ominous happenings of all shades invade New Orleans as this very descriptive tale ensues. Sub plots unwind around the central incidence. Dave and family, along with Clete, deal with Katrina as the Big Sleazy's underbelly is exposed. Take a ride with home looters, feel their various psyches, deal with the unexpected good, and or bad fortune of a lifetime. See Katrina through Burkes eyes as only a local real life resident could depict it, things you never read about or saw on TV news alarmingly unveiled. The central cast includes Otis Baylor a savvy insurance agent and his sodomized daughter, and new wife Melanie, and a montage of surrounding players. An event within the event. A cyclonic tale.

The Big Sleasy As She Is!
Best & probably most accurate interpretation of happenings during and around Katrina. Makes me feel I am there again seeing for myself.

Good Read
I always enjoy his books. This was a good one. Liberal bias barely comes through.
