This book is very helpful in explaining that a child whom one perceives to be very intelligent, is probably really as smart as you think she is. It also explains how that same child can be failing or having difficulties at school. It is useful in describing the different types of cognitive or developmental issues that might be affecting the child, and treatment options for same. The book gives and informed overview of several types of behavioural and cognitive issues.
