I've always been a big fan of WWII fiction I just don't read it as much as I used to. This one did not disappoint. I appeciate that it was written from the perspective of Polish protagonists instead of the English and American protagonists which I normally encounter in this genre. The story was very adventuresome and suspenseful and did not have too many "coincidences". It also did not incorporate too many well known historical characters focusing mainly on the boots on the ground type people with much of the story occurring in the resistance and/or underground. I highly recommend it for those of you who enjoy WWII fiction. Don't expect too many battle scenes as the story is mainly about civilians.
On another note, the author chose to use a "green" method of publishing. I think it bumped the price up a wee bit but well worth saving the 23 40 foot tall trees that were estimated to be required for the publishing

Good story, well told
I thoroughly enjoyed this WWII story of a Polish couple who get separated on the day of the Polish invasion by Hitler in 1939. The rest of the story chronicles what happens to each as they try to save themselves and also to fight the Nazis. A good old fashioned adventure strory with lots of twists and turns. Good character development for main characters and the secondary characters as well. I would recommend for all those who enjoy a good story.
