good, but not as original as the reviews say
It's the old earth/fertility god or goddess trope reworked. The writing is sparse and moves to the point, but the style feels a bit pretentious - same as most supposedly "ground breaking" fiction does to me. Cutting your paragraphs short does not new ground break. However the narration is sly and the POV is interesting. It's short and it holds your attention, a good Halloween read. I could see this as a graphic novel for sure.
