Wow. This is a legal thriller that mixes medical science with political drama. It takes the issues of stem cell research and organ harvesting to terrifying new depths. It explores the life and death issues of abortion by presenting a frightening scenario. The power-hungry President's wife sounds an awful lot like someone currently running for office. I felt so stressed by the man hunting Amanda across the country, and the panic and shock when her boyfriend arrives to help her just as the man finds her. The unlikely hero is a work in progress. I'm looking forward to Godwin's next novel. Well done!
