While this book is the 2009, 62nd edition, the historical information therein is not going to outdate. This book is an accumulation of many years of facts about the history and minting of United States and relevant coins mostly.
One can peruse the very interesting story of USA coinage in the first part of the book and also look up individual coin values and details in the following pages in chronological sequence. It is a reference work.
This book is concise, easy to read and full of many color pictures of authentic (per the editor) coins.
The binding (8" high x 6"wide) is hard covered with a spiral-like spine which allows for the book to lie flat on any page. The design is obviously meant for regular use.
Found the book to be much more informative that expected.
The book arrived in near mint condition which was very much appreciated.

The Official Red Book (Coins)
This is my fourth Red Book purchase & the only reason I wanted a new one was an update on values. For beginner or advanced collector this book is a must. It has been on my bookshelf for probably 50 years. Martha
