I came across this book when looking for more insight over Saturn's influence. It's an exceptional work that I highly recommend to anyone pursuing astrological awareness. Saturn is often regarded as a devil, of sorts; but I've seldom found anything touching beneath the surface of that evaluation. This book touches the core of Saturn's purpose, exploring the implications through each sign. If you've found this book, you're likely seeking the same information I was when I found it.

The Devil is in the Details
Liz Greene is a good astrologer and a good writer. But as always she leaves me wondering why, when she writes a book directed to a single topic, there seems to be so much left out. There is no discussion of Saturn retrograde in this book. The cycles of Saturn with regard to himself, the Sun, and the Angles of the map are not even mentioned. In spite of these important deficiencies, the book is worth having. It includes descriptions of Saturn in the signs and houses, in aspect to other planets, and a look at Saturn in synastry.

A briliant Astrology Cassic
This book was a revelation when first published (late 70s) and it continues to inspire and inform countless astrology buffs. Greene is methodical and brings her experience as a Jungian analyst to the table in all its glory, covering the Shadow and its implications regarding the position of Saturn in the natal chart. This is an absorbing, intense read and turns this classically 'malefic' planet into the wise old teacher, if we are open to the lessons. She includes examples going through the elements and their respective houses in turn. A book for the intermediate level astrology student rather than a beginner. I found 'Saturn' deepened my understanding and propelled me to investigate its manifestation, as this is not really the 'cookbook' style astrology text. Although she does cover each sign and house, there is the message that one must look oneself for the answers. A top book and a compulsory buy for any serious astrologer.
