A true sampler of patterns, lovingly traced directly from pre-Civil War quilts, graces this book. These were shared between quilters in an era before commercially printed patterns were available. Some of these patterns are published for the first time in this collection. Each is redrafted and drawn accurately to today's use. Full-sized, authentic, antique quilting designs are made available for quilters of reproduction quilts as well as for historians documenting designs.
