I found this book very interesting because I have formed a love for the "plain people " through the books like this I have read. I have also been to Amish Country and seen these folks as they live but this book brings them more to life, their ways and customs. It was a very heart touching book, a great showing of strength and faith. It was hard to put down from first page on. Thank you Beverly Lewis for your books.

Insightful/interesting
I found this book to be very good reading and also learned something about "Plain" people. I hadn't realized that a member of the community could be shunned by others and found that to be very interesting which added to the story. Beverly Lewis had done a fine job of writing about the Amish community and the trials and struggles they face.
