Historically Accurate
Enjoying this book is a good way to get a full picture of the War of 1812. I had read 2 non fiction accounts of the war before I opened this large book. This fiction fleshed out history, and caused me to want to read more. for instance, I became curious about Winfield Scott, and bought Eisenhower's biography of him to read next.
I would have given this book 5 stars except for the strong language which is a distraction to me.
