I usually really like Felice Picano's writing, and was very disappointed to read this stupid story of people being predeterminedly fated to repeat actions of a century ago. Actually, the first part of the book was okay, about the 12-year-old Roger and his sexual awakening hurried along by his cousin Chas. The conversations were realistic. But the second half of the book is all about grown-up Roger and his wife, and going back to his hometown and getting sucked into a gothic mystery. Very contrived and dumb. Sorry, Mr. Picano.
