I believe this, and books by Jason Fung MD, will help me loose at least 20 lb, and get healthy. There is what appears to be a very useful Blood Sugar Solution pdf available from Hyman at his website. Numerous useful videos, both from Hyman and Fung, are on youtube. I have had multi decade Chronic Fatigue. For some years was in the care of a world class MD, whom I still respect immensely. One never wants to be 'an interesting' patient or client.
When some years ago I mentioned Hyman's the 'UltraMind Solution' to a consulting MD (neurophysiology and an early proponent of Functional Medicine, I think) she said that she didn't recommend the book.
She found the initial chapters so extreme and unorthodox in their commentary that the initial chapters frighted folks too much. Much of that information is now more commonly known, but repetitive if one is familiar with the problems in current medical practice and food supply.
