I carefully explained to our four-year-old granddaughter that we don't always get what we want, when we want it. When Mom says, "You can't have that now or you can't do that now." I carefully explained to our four-year-old granddaughter that we don't always get what we want, when we want it. When Mom says, "You can't have that now or you can't do that now." Don't get mad, but be patient and reply, "I understand, I can't now, please let me know when I can." We talked about God. I shared with her that He is the Creator of ALL things. We discussed His salvation plan and that Christ sacrificed His life for the bad things we have done and will do. We discussed how important it is to always try to do the right thing, and when we do the wrong thing, to quickly ask God to forgive us, and help us not to do wrong things. We talked about many things in a short amount of time. As soon as she saw her mother, her first words were, "I'm sorry." The next few weeks revealed how much she was listening. As she played with her younger sister, she shared with her how God loves us and how He wants us to do the right thing. These conversations between sisters would go on and on. And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the mist of them, and said, "Verily, I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven." Matthew chapter 18 verses 2-3 It has been said, "We are what we eat." The truths that I shared with my granddaughter that day are just a portion of my spiritual diet. Like many of you, I've known doubt, I've known pain, I've known hate, I've known sadness, depression and loss. I've looked death in the eye and it was not my time. This simple diet of TRUTH frees me from my struggles whether they are spiritual or physical. If you are struggling to overcome the weight of life, or something as simple as losing weight, then feast upon these simple truths and watch the weight fall off. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew chapter 11 verses 29-30 You will notice blank pages through-out this book. These pages are for you to write your own experiences. It is so important to share your wonderful Journey in Christ with those you love, encouraging them to pass it on to the next generation. Your story is just as Holy. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. May your words bless those that receive them.
