I ordered The Autocrat of the Breakfast-Table, the edition that has a photo of a path through the woods on the cover.
I received the book yesterday, and was dismayed to see that it was printed in such a small font as to be almost illegible, even with my magnifying glass. There was nothing in the advertising material to let me know that this edition uses a size of print similar to that used in the OED.
There is no publisher information, unless it is given in the QR code, which my phone does not read.
As to the Autocrat himself, I find Dr Holmes to be brilliant, witty, profound, and delightful in every exquisite paragraph. The writing is like a fine wine or a fine chocolate. There is no rushing through it; it must be savored, sentence by sentence.
I wish I had not given my good copy away!
