Quoi qu'il en soit, cet abandon du champ l�gislatif aux simples piocheurs appel�s commentateurs ou hommes d'affaires a eu les r�sultats les plus f�cheux, pour la science du Droit d'abord demeur�e close en soi, st�rile, casani�re et routini�re, et ensuite pour les autres sciences ses soeurs, pour l'�conomie politique surtout, qui, en oubliant sa parent� et ses droits au partage de l'h�ritage commun, ont transgress� sans le savoir leurs limites naturelles. La r�action socialiste qui s'est produite si passionn�ment dans la seconde moiti� de ce si�cle contre l'�conomie politique de l'ancienne �cole, n'est-elle pas due en partie aux empi�tements inconscients de celle-ci qui, dans ses ambitieuses th�ories sur la Richesse, n'avait jamais �t� arr�t�e par quelque grande th�orie du Droit, rivale et fraternelle ?...
