La insurrecci�n comenz� en un barrio de Masaya, a 27 kil�metros de la capital y se fue propagando con la misma rapidez con la que el gobierno dictatorial la reprime atacando de manera despiadada a la poblaci�n civil. Es en uno de esos barrios de Managua donde los protagonistas de esta novela cuentan su historia.
