Le septi�me et dernier tome rassemble des pi�ces diverses sur lesquelles Prosper Paillotet ne mit la main qu'apr�s sa premi�re �dition en six volumes. Par l'�tonnante diversit� des sujets qui y sont trait�s, les m�langes fournissent un dernier t�moignage de la richesse de la pens�e de Fr�d�ric Bastiat. Les �bauches, qui les suivent et pr�c�dent un recueil de correspondance, nous indiquent elles les vues originales que l'auteur aurait voulu d�velopper, si la mort ne l'avait pas enlev� � l'�ge de 49 ans, six ans � peine apr�s son entr�e dans la vie litt�raire et politique.
