The Story of the Romans was published in 1896 by the American Book Company as part of their Eclectic School Readings series, and that is the edition I have. It is a very engaging telling of the story of ancient Rome, suited for reading enjoyment or for a history book in a classical elementary school.
(Be careful when you buy to avoid the reprint by General Books, LLC. It is a faithful reprint, but the formatting is atrocious.)
