This is the sequel to FOLLOWING ATTICUS, which I highly believe you must read first. This stand alone book is so beautifully written, and describes one man caring for an aging dog. But this is a book about learning to live in the moment and in a more sacred and serene way, not a book about dying: A dog who loves flowers, a curious bear, loads of wonderful friends and walks in the mountains.
