This was one of Nora Roberts' better stand alone stories. The reader can empathize with the heroine's utterly lonely existence. And the hero was genuinely likeable.
There were great creative plot twists to extricate Elizabeth from her dangerous situation. Plus, Roberts again includes a great dog!

I loved it
Nora Roberts is one of the best writers today!
In this effort, she has excelled. This book is not part of one of her superb series, it stands alone. This is the recounting of a 16 year old girl's tale of her life AFTER she makes the mistake of forging IDs to get herself and a girlfriend into one of the hottest clubs in her city. She witnesses the murder of 2 people and agrees to testify against the Russian Mafia - and then......being sought by the mob and the law... epic!.
