Hence the beginning of Hollywood's illustrious film history. The first movie was shot in Hollywood in 1911, and by 1920, Hollywood had become a boom town and all the film companies were now making Hollywood the movie production capital of the world. Hollywood became legendary and has enjoyed a rich history. Movie stars lived lives in Hollywood that others could only dream of.
