The poems I have written contained with the cover of this book are based on true happenings of people who are near and dear to home. Some are based on day to day happenings and others on tragic situations as they emerge or ideas that present themselves in the early morn. When sleep evades me then I pick up my materials and write. Sometimes I may have a competition to enter and work on an idea in bed at night in the quietness of my room. Other ideas start to form listening to people's stories. Childhood memories of things, my grandchildren, my family, my workplace, places I've visited. Love of human nature, life around my garden which I've spent many happy hours watching the wildlife the birds, squirrels, a hawk, even to a large rat and a fox passing by. I hope you the reader will enjoy reading these as much as I have enjoyed putting them together.
