This rare book contains timeless sporting information still valuable today, and constitutes a great addition to collections of antiquarian sporting literature. John Henry Walsh (1810 - 1888) was a prolific English writer of sports-news who often went by the pseudonym "Stonehenge". His notable works include "The Modern Sportsman's Gun and Rifle" (1882), "The Horse in the Stable and in the Field" (1861), and "The Shot-Gun and Sporting Rifle" (1859). Many vintage texts such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive, and it is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition.
