Love between animal and lonely man. What could be more moving. Honest, and above all, hilarious.
I'm looking forward to the animated film.
The book also re-introduced me to an old Ackerley book called Hindoo Holiday, which I've had on my shelf for 40 years. What a delight to find that they were both written by the same genius.
